    With a disease like ALS, we don’t need anything to aggravate the shortness of breath and coughing that many patients already have on a regular basis. This year, pollen counts are predicted to be at an all-time high.

    Have you noticed your breathing is affected or are your allergies particularly bad in spring and summer? What do you do to lessen the respiratory impact of pollen and allergies each spring?

    On days where the air quality is poor or, pollen will be high and I’m going outside, I wear an N-95 mask.
