I recently came across an article that Rachel Doboga (column The Might Mind) wrote in January 2019 https://alsnewstoday.com/2019/01/07/als-self-care-power-hour/

This article really hit home with me. I work in the mental health field and for ALS News Today. I’m knowledgeable about self-care and its importance; but lately I realized I was lacking in this area. It is equally important for pALS and caregivers to practice good self-care so that they can be the best versions of themselves possible. That can be difficult when you are overwhelmed with thoughts of ALS and/or the pandemic.  Practicing mindfulness as Dagmar recently wrote about is definitely a positive step. Stretching and taking time to decompress are also good steps.  Have you been practicing self-care? What strategies do you use? What resources have  you found to help you? Let’s make a list of resources related to self-care strategies and mindfulness.
