Take a short survey about ALS communication options
People living with ALS (pALS) are invited to complete a survey to help the researchers learn more about how to improve their communication options.
Betts Peters is a Speech-Language Pathologist and has spent several years working as the Assistive Technology Services Coordinator for the ALS Association Oregon & SW Washington Chapter before transitioning to research. Publications resulting from this study will be used to inform evidence-based practice for communication support for pALS, and to identify potential improvements to AAC technologies and service delivery.
The survey is available online or by mail and is open to all pALS regardless of how they communicate. Ms. Peters is hoping to hear from a large and diverse group of pALS from across the country, so if you have an opportunity to share this with other pALS, that is encouraged. An introductory video explaining the survey is available on YouTube at https://youtu.be/Ku4mKxtwezc. Ms. Peters is available to answer any questions.
