I retired from teaching July 1, 2018 and diagnosed May 4, 2019 with bulbar ALS.  I had been active enjoying  running and hiking but ALS has somewhat curtailed running and long hikes. I still hike and my husband and I will go out of town once a month for a 3-4 days weekend. I was in the U.S. Army 4 years from 1976-1980.
