Short Bio

After 2 unnecessary surgeries, diagnosed in April 2017 with PLS (Primary Lateral Sclerosis) also called UMN dominant ALS.  After 5 days of tests at Mayo Clinic/Rochester in March 2021, diagnosed with ALS – prognosis bleak (3 years to bedridden; 5 years life remaining). After 36 straight hours of tests at Houston Methodist Neurological Institute in April 2021, diagnosed with PLS, non-fatal version of ALS.

I’ve had 5 IV treatments with MSCs at SCI/Panama since Aug 2019. My weight loss and muscle wasting stopped and reversed. My overall health is excellent. I still have left side spasticity, poor balance (must use a walker), excess saliva and slurred speech. Based on the successful clinical trials of Corestem NeuroNata-R, I’m beginning IT (intrathecal) MSC treatment at SCI for my remaining symptoms – but no guarantees.
