NEUROSURGEON CLINICIAN SCIENTIST.  25 Years of working on translational therapies in ALS including cell, gene, and small molecules.  I lead the surgical program of the NeuralStem and Mazzini/Vescovi ALS stem cell transplantation trials.  I am currently working to translate IT delivery of Riluzole and other ALS drugs, in addition to peripheral nerve stem cell-derived motor neuron transplantation for atrophy prevention and diaphragmatic pacing.
