Very interesting discussion. I was fitted last week for an AFO at a local clinic Kaiser referred me to.
I get the orthotic in 3 weeks. My left foot drags or drops when I walk. Hope it helps.

I was diagnosed last October at age 84. Thought I would live forever. My father lived til 103. Anybody else diagnosed this late in life?

After I fell down twice relying on furniture and a cane. And after I pulled my caregiver down with me.Also, the rollator gives me a place to sit down when tired from walking, especially at the mall.

Dont know whether it is caused by the ALS or the medication but have been experiencing terrible dry mouth. Now its causing problems swallowing my pills. Is anyone else dealing with dry mouth?
