My mother has finally been diagnosed with ALS after almost six years of not knowing what is going on. She has very limited use in her arms, she can basically just barely scratch her face if she can get positioned correctly. And she still has use in her legs but as a very unsteady gait, and her speech is just starting to get slurred but she has no problem swollowing or eating yet.
