    My sister has ALS and has no functional mobility, cannot swallow, requires suction to remove congestion and receives all nutrition and medicine through a feeding tube. I pulled up this post hoping to find some insight into how to treat someone in this state who has a head cold with heavy congestion. These “tips” completely miss the mark and show a disappointing lack of understanding regarding ALS circumstances. Next time, don’t bother.
