I am 70 years old and was recently diagnosed, first phase ALS on June 8, 2023. I feel I could have had subtle symptoms for the past few years. I am only about 7 months in yet I can no longer walk and have had 5 falls, one which I fractured my back.
I am married, 51 years to my high school sweetheart. I have 3 children and 9 grandchildren. I was a stay at home mom while our children was in school. I have had the privilege to serve as a Lay minister for 3 years. And a Medical assistant, for 17 years. My first job was working for a dry cleaners, while still in high school. God has used me in many ways, just a country gal having only a high school education. I love to write and lead Bible studies. I overcame having Crohn’s disease, but claimed God’s healing!! I am praying for His healing with this terrible disease.
