I am 66 years old. Drop foot began fall of 2023. Referred to neurologist but it was a 4 month wait so went to a medicine and rehab doctor who diagnosed “peroneal nerve” which was in the process of “ healing”. Happily I got married on March 20, 2024 thinking MS, ALS were off the table. The next day I finally was seen by neurology. He felt strongly ALS was the proper diagnosis. May 3, new studies and exam met criteria for 2 entities that I have ALS. Started Riluzole 2 weeks ago. Planning for high dose Vitamin B12 injections.
