I am 74 and have had a dead nerve in my right lower leg for a couple of years. I was just diagnosed yesterday (2/8/22) and am seeking support and advice on coping and living with this disease. It has always been my most feared disease, so learning that I have it was – and still is – difficult. Positivity has always been my goal, today I only feel a knot in my stomach and fear. Hearing positive stories of coping and living with this disease will help change me quell the terror rising in me. How do I tell my kids?
How do I tell my friends? How do I help my husband?

How long have you or the person that you are caring for had ALS? |
I have had symptoms of drop foot for nearly 2 years. I have had MRI's of everything, 7 in total. Everyone thought it was an orthopedic issue, so I have been in PT, for several months, to no avail.
