Moved to north Florida 8 years married had 3 children reside now in Charlotte, NC 29 years. It started with right foot drop March 2022. )(age 58). Was diagnosed local neurologist September 2022 (after X-rays, bloodwork, EMGs, PT etc for a year) then did a second opinion at Mayo Clinic, Jax Florida&hellip;</p>

<p>Last I was told is that it was a possible factor I am seeing neurologist tomorrow at Mayo Clinic could ask again?</p>

<p>I also have the repeat ATXN2 gene. My diagnosis is “slow ALS” mostly right leg at this point no history of smoking except second hand smoke have identical twin sister but she has had RA since she was 20. We both hit 60 this year I started foot drop age 58. I’m in a clinical trial through Mayo Clinic Jacksonville FL IbudilAst. </p>

<p>I was diagnosed in Sept 2023 but showed foot drop a year before that. And now that I look back had signs of cramping at night probably a year before foot drop. I walked 2-4 miles a day was active and taught preschool ages 4. Thought I hurt my back but after several EMGs, MRIs, finally went to neurologist in Charlotte, NC since right&hellip;</p>
