Thank you for this forum – it’s very helpful to know you’re not alone.  I’m a 76 year old woman who’s  been in excellent health all my life.  I’m married, with two grown daughters and four grandchildren.  I worked as a clinical psychologist and enjoyed working out 6 days a week – 3 days strength training, 3 days cardio.  In April 2024 I noticed difficulty speaking and thought it was due to stress.  It became worse, and after the unending tests we all endure, I was diagnosed with Bulbar ALS.  I feel blessed to live near an ALS Clinic that monitors me closely.
