My husband was diagnosed on 2/19 with ALS with an appointment at INOVA in Fairfax.  We have an appointment at Johns Hopkins on 3/10 for another opinion/option.  He started with a pain/weakness in his right hand, now only 1 or 2 fingers work and muscle loss is extreme on that side.  He’s still walking.  He has some issues speaking/swallowing.  We’re getting Riluzole, and working through Radicava.  Getting the Riluzole prescription has been the most challenging thing so far!
