I am 77 years old. I have a loving and caring wife and two adult children who also live in Arizona.. Before moving to Arizona I lived on Long Island, New York and Connecticut.  During my working career I was involved in marketing and advertising. I am now retired for 15 years.  Prior to my ALS symptoms and diagnosis I was a very healthy person…never was hospitalized or required any type of major surgery.   Then BANG!  I am told that my disease is of a relatively slow progression.  My symptoms are extreme fatigue and weakness in my arms  and legs.  I do not experience problems with breathing, swallowing or talking.  So I am lucky in this respect.
