Short Bio

I am a 74 year old female married with two grown children and a one year old grandson. Worked in the HR field for 50 years. Had been very healthy through the years until early summer of 2023, I noticed during my walks, my left foot hit the ground with a different sound. I got alarmed but did nothing as I was scared I was developing Parkinson’s. Late summer I saw my GP who sent me for physiotherapy as she noticed a weakness in my left foot. After many sessions of therapy, there was no change in strength. Soon after I went through many MRIs and CT scans which all came clear. At this point, I feared it was ALS as my mother died 42 years ago from pneumonia after battling ALS (Bulbar palsy onset). My genetic test (May 2024) for ALS came back negative.
