| Short Bio | Live in NYC, former Financial Advisor, current full time investor/trader. Diagnosed with Progressive Muscular Atrophy (PMA), a form of ALS in December 2024. My Neurologist is Dr. Neil Shneider of Columbia in NYC. A genetic blood test disclosed that I have the TBK1 gene mutation. My symptoms are limited to some weakness in my left hand and muscle fasciculations (for now). My ALSFRS R score is 46. A blood test also disclosed that my neurofilament levels were “normal”, meaning slower progression of my PMA. I’m about to participate in a clinical research study at Columbia for the TBK1 gene. On personal front, my hobbies include photography, boating, motorcycling and live music. Am married and have a 20 yr. old son. We spend half our time on North Fork, Long Island.
