My wife (Vijaya) was told that she has ALS after 18 months of investigation. She had slip on the wet floor in Mar 2021, few months later she reported weak leg and foot drop (no health issues since last 50 years. All these months investigations were around Foot drop, weak leg, back pain. Based on MRIs/ EMGs, neck surgery (Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion) was performed in Mar 2022. Situation deteriorated since then and from using cane (prior to surgery) to wheel chair (post surgery). On June 2022, ALS was concluded.
Today we do not know how to go about and trying to take help of ALS Organization. Doctor suggested Riluzole. If some one can suggest a broad high level road map for us with no liabilities so that we manage the future.
