My mother got ALS in 1974 at age 50 and died in 1974. Her mother passed away at age 71 but little was known at the time about ALS. My youngest brother was diagnosed in July 2014 at age 55 and died in August 2015. I did 23 and me but it didn’t definitely come back that I had high risk although it showed trending upward. It was bang on with high risk of colon cancer which I had. I don’t think I’d want to know.

Happy to see your reply. My brother was recently diagnosed. It’s in my family as mother, grandmother and younger brother both had ALS. I’d like to see the latest research on familial ALS
