Thanks Paul. I was diagnosed just a few months ago. My ears tend to perk up when someone who has survived as long as you have speaks up and I’m grateful for this forum that allows that to happen. I read constantly about these supplements and it can get confusing. To hear personal experiences helps. Like you said, it doesn’t hurt.

I’ve been reading as much as I can and there is a lot out there. I’ve come across the Deanna Protocol supplements treatment and the inventor of the, Dr Tedone, thinks a secondary bacterial coinfection from tick borne diseases may be a culprit. I’ve taken many ticks off of myself over the years because I used to work outside in the northeast where…[Read more]

Hi Amanda,
Thank you for the welcome. I’m sorry to hear how affected your family has been by ALS. It’s admirable that your family has been involved in the research that will surely affect many and as already does by giving hope. Hope….a word I never truly understood until now. It’s keeping me going now these days and has been given to me by…[Read more]-
John,
Thank you so very much for your kind words! Hope is so important. I really believe that they are learning more and more all of the time about ALS, and we will see a treatment in our future. Did you know that they have cured ALS in mice? Of course that isn’t the same as a human trial and the CNS in a mouse is different than in a human (or…[Read more]-

Yes, it is wise to be tested for Borrelia/Lyme disease, since the symptoms are very similar to those of ALS (following the rule of: do testing to rule everything else out).
By the way, the Deanna protocol and Dr Tedone tend to come up in discussions every few years. His theory and diet has been around for 10+ years. It’s a controversial diet…[Read more]

Beautiful. I’m crying. I’m glad you finished it. The video is inspiring for people like me just starting our journey. I can still play my guitar but can’t sing anymore so it hit hard on me.

Hi Dagmar,
I was recently diagnosed with ALS and slowly coming to terms with it. It’s still shocking to me but I’m trying to read a lot about it come up to speed on what I can do to help myself. I’m trying to get included in Phase 2 of the stem cell trial as I believe I qualify.
I liked your sense of humor in your recent article and our sense of…[Read more] -
