Short Bio |
60 year old male, US ARMY Veteran. I was diagnosed with ALS in 2019. Onset of symptoms occurring in 2008. Symptoms started with muscle fade in my hands and cramps in my calves.
I can still walk although it is laborious. My fine motor skills have diminished and there has been some changes to my speech (becoming slower as I get tired)
I do not let ALS define who I am. I am still active in my Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the DVA,American Legion and my community at large.
I ask that no one feel sorry for me, I have done everything I have ever wanted to do (except going into space)
I am not dying from ALS, I am living with it.
