Does anyone have a suggestion on what to use instead of a regular toothbrush. My husband is having difficulty opening his mouth for brushing or rinse it. Are there any other ways to brush his teeth?

I love listening to the flash briefings. I have a hard time stopping my day to read so the news flash briefings fit the bill. I have my AirPod in one ear all day so I am hands free . I just wish there were more. I wish alsnewstoday was in audio too.

My husband has been having horrible leg jerks, spasms or whatever you call them. He is taking Baclfen but it’s not helping. He hasn’t slept in 2 days. So, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on this. I feel so helpless and useless.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to everyone on this wonderful forum. -

I am getting worried too. My husband has an ALS clinic appointment in 2 weeks and I am afraid it’s going to get canceled. He hasn’t seen the ALS team in person yet. I pray we make it there 🙏🙏🙏

How do you get involved in trials? We live so far from them. I want my husband on a trial but I don’t seem to get to the right people.

Ann Thomson replied to the topic What is the hardest thing being a Caregiver? in the forum A Forum for ALS Caregivers 2 years, 5 months ago

Just as Amy said, my husband was the bill payer, the handyman, the person I always leaned on. Now he can’t do any of that and I know it’s very selfish for me to say but it’s all in my court now. I miss my beautiful husband. I am so thank…[Read more]

I tried mixing the powder into my fruit smoothie… it stained everything from the spoon, glass, my teeth and even the placemat. (a few brushings with whitening toothpaste was needed).…[Read more]
