  • I am not a pALS, But my son in law was. Sadly he passed last December after a courageous and inspirational battle. Before he was diagnosed he had just started a lucrative job at amylyx in Boston. He was just getting going when the unthinkable happened. He worked there a couple months with the leg brace on before disclosing his dx. Amylyx kept him on board until he became immobile and he and my son had to move to a big accessible house an hour away. But again amylyx to their credit and Austen’s desire to continue working, he worked from home. How ironic that he worked there and was dx with ALS. At his memorial 2 weeks ago his boss came and spoke so highly of Austen’s work ethic and the wonderful man he was. I will get a tattoo in Austen’s honor asap. Thanks for the info.
