Short Bio |
I am a 70 year old retired professor. My career was in Special Education, expanding access to education for children and youth with disabilities. I received my diagnosis three months ago. Like so many others with ALS my symptoms go back over a year. I am served at the ALS clinic at Mass. General and they have been amazing. Currently I have weaknesses in my hands and my walk is awkward but OK. My breathing is impacted particularly when I exert myself. My speech needs amplification and I use a breathing machine at night to help me sleep.
