  • In Australia our government has been very proactive in preparing the medical profession and the population for the challenges presented by COVID-19. Drive thru clinics have been setup for safe, fast testing and the appropriate warnings re hand washing / hygiene, avoiding crowds etc have been promoted thru all media channels. Both state and federal governments have contributed billions of dollars and appropriate resources to hospitals, aged care facilities and medical researchers. My doctor and MND nurses have explained the very serious risk that this virus presents to MND / ALS patients, so please monitor your physical contacts, hygiene and personal environment.

I lived with restless leg syndrome (RLS) at night only all my life, as my muscle twitches became 24/7 it eventually led to my MND diagnosis. I know take Magnesium L-Threonate (2,000 mg) twice a day, I no longer suffer from RLS or MND symptomatic twitching / cramps. I also supplement with B12, Turmeric and CoQ10, however I believe that Magnesium L-Threonate is the major contributor to eliminating any fasciculations.

I was on offshore powerboat racer for many years, the pounding received is unrelenting even in relatively smooth seas, I suffered compressed and fractured discs in my spine. Also some severe head trauma / concussions from playing Rugby and a couple of motor vehicle accidents, I believe they are all contributing factors to my MND (ALS).
