Want to learn more about Clinical Trials?
There are a lot of dedicated professionals conducting research and seeking out a cure or way to stop the progression of ALS. For all of us, that cure cannot come soon enough. You might be able to help! Have you considered volunteering for medical research or clinical trials? Each study has specific criteria to meet for both the treatments and the subjects in order to be valid. For some clinical trials you must be at a certain point in the progression of ALS and for others you must have specific genetic mutation. The criteria is specific to the treatment. Are you interested in learning more about clinical trials? What is the process? What are the phases? How to get involved? I know a few of our members have participated in clinical trials. How about you? Have you considered looking into participating? If so, for what study? What was the process like for you?
