Helpful Resources for Family Caregivers
To all spouses and family members caring for a loved one who has ALS, we salute you this month, because, November is National Family Caregiver’s Month! We thank you for your strength and dedication!
The ALS Association estimates that as many as 30,000 Americans are living with ALS, but when we factor in how many people are affected by ALS, the number is much greater. Spouses become caregivers, family members do, too, and the circle of care widens to include extended family, friends, and professional staff.
Even if your loved one doesn’t yet need a lot of assistance, it’s always good to file away helpful information like what can be found in these resources, as you look ahead to the future.
