The ALS Association has selected InnoVision Marketing Group as its agency of record for creating media campaigns to raise awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and the association’s mission of improving the lives of people with ALS.

InnoVision, which has previously collaborated with the nonprofit on specific initiatives and events, will now support its public relations, video production, and social media marketing needs. The goal is to raise awareness and highlight the need for community support for those living with ALS.

InnoVision’s “commitment and dedication to supporting those in greatest need aligns perfectly with the mission of the ALS Association,” Steve Becvar, ALS Association vice president for sports and entertainment, said in an InnoVision press release. “Together, we look forward to making significant strides in our fight against ALS and enhancing the quality of life for those affected by this disease.”

ALS is caused by the dysfunction and death of motor neurons, the nerve cells that control voluntary movements, rendering the brain unable to control muscle movement. As a result, patients progressively lose the ability to perform everyday tasks.

Association provides research, support, advocacy

The ALS Association works to improve the quality of life for people living with ALS and their families by providing support groups, as well as multidisciplinary care through the association’s certified treatment centers.

The association has funded ALS research worldwide to help find treatments and a cure for the disease. Research efforts have made significant progress in understanding the mechanisms underlying ALS, pinpointing biological markers that may help diagnose and treat the disease, and how to prevent it.

In addition, the association provides nationwide advocacy through education and mobilization of policymakers, which has contributed to the discovery of new treatments, faster access to disability benefits, and the creation of a national ALS repository.

InnoVision has worked with clients in a range of sectors, including nonprofit organizations. The company provides brand strategy development, advertising, and creative services, as well as film production, public relations, and digital and social media management.

“We are thrilled to be able to help the ALS Association continue to spread the word about the life-changing impact they have on those impacted by ALS,” said Alanna Markey, InnoVision’s senior vice president and general manager. “Any time we have an opportunity to give back to the community through lending our talents to organizations creating positive change, it is so rewarding for our team. After working with the ALS Association for years on specific projects, we are thrilled to be able to partner with them as agency of record.”
