Alex Coriell’s Journey With ALS
This emotional video from Marissa Coriell is an incredibly moving tribute to her husband, Alexander. Alexander was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in January 2013. The video shows how quickly his condition progressed. By September 2013, Alex was unable to swallow food and needed a feeding tube, and then a couple of months later, he lost the ability to walk.
Alexander started a blog to write about his illness and to give hope to others who may be suffering from ALS, using his nose to type when he lost the use of his fingers. Sadly, Alexander lost his battle in November 2015.
