This video from Patients Like Me is all about baseball-loving Gus, who has amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Gus explains that he is much more than his condition and hopes that others realize they are more than their illnesses, too.

Then he realized that ALS “had me 100 percent” and changed his mindset about the condition and how to move forward with it. Gus and his wife created a game plan on how they were going to approach the treatment of the disease and continue to allow Gus to get the most out of life despite having ALS.
