Apps and AI – – What Do You Use?
For most people who don’t live with ALS, apps and AI are simply a convenience; to save time, save steps or live more efficiently. But for those of us who do live with ALS, apps and AI can be lifesavers. They can speak for us, be our hands, type words or even control the appliances in our homes.
My first encounter with AI (in the form of an Echo Show) didn’t go so well and I wrote about it in this column: Lessons Learned from Echo Show. But I’ve since “made friends” with the device and even figured out how to use the type-and-speak app on my cell phone to send it voice commands.
What apps and AI or other technology do you use to help you live with ALS? Did you have an easy or hard learning curve to adapt to using them? How about your own humorous moments with technology? Let’s share and learn from each other.
