ALS News Today wants to understand how uncertainty impacts mental health in the ALS community, including anxiety and stress, but also sources of hope or resilience. Your insights can help guide future support programs, shape research priorities, and strengthen resources for everyone affected by ALS.

I found the survey was easy to take and quick. It’s not only for patients but for caregivers too.

I encourage caregivers to fill out the survey – – I know you are already busy enough, but this quick survey and your responses will help “pay it forward” for other caregivers like you.

    We all appreciate you!

I would love to give a joke or something to laugh on something that’s happened to me while having ALS. Unfortunately, last month my mom broke her leg. She’s 82 years old. She was my caregiver and now I’m caring for myself at the house for the last two weeks. At this time, I’m doing the best I can and put all my faith in God.

eric-jensen, I am so sorry to read that your mom broke her leg… and on top of it she was your only caregiver, and you now have to manage by yourself. Have you contacted the ALS Association in your state for advice on finding an alternate home care aid? Having someone come to your home for just a few hours might be helpful.
