Tried numerous times to respond to the weight gain or loss discussion, but screen just kept spinning I’ll just start new discussion

When I had my feed tube implanted at Scottsdale Mayo Clinic on Nov 8, they hooked me up with 8oz Nutren supplied by Coram.

I reorder 150 (5 per day) supplements per month that are loaded all nutrients. Also furnish syringes. They also through insurance send 4 click in tubes and each Quarter furnish a new g-tube bubble. I’ve been able to maintain my weight.

I’ve been losing weight too. I’m still on solid food but I have a peg tube for when I need it. I sometimes dread getting out of bed because it means I have to start eating my way through the day. I get depressed occasionally because the thought of food makes me nauseated. I’m eating a lot of stews with potatoes and roast. Also, eggs, grits , bacon and sausage. My problem is I eat a meal then don’t want to eat for hours afterwards so I’m not getting the necessary calories. I just started to drink chocolate milk which packs calories and carbs. I just ordered Nutella to start eating a spoonful periodically throughout the day. I’ve read it’s good in coffee too. I’m a huge meat eater so I tend to fill up on meat instead of the sides which is where all the calories and fatty stuff are. I’m a type 2 diabetic but I allow ALS to win my sugar battle by eating crappy food then control my sugars with insulin. I bought an ai fryer and I’m eating a lot of frozen stuffed potato skins and I glob sour cream on them. I try to boost the calories of every meal by adding butter and various other condiments. Condiments can pack a caloric punch without filling you up. It’s hard for me to gain weight with healthy food so I eat like a drunk sailor and control all blood levels of sugar, lipids and triglycerides with prescription medication.

I’m looking forward to hearing other ideas on how to gain weight.
