MemberNovember 7, 2023 at 3:41 pmSadly, our traditions have been food centered. My pALS has dysphasia. We have been keeping things simple. We celebrated our 31 year anniversary with mashed potatoes and gravy. Probably will do the same for the next two holidays coming up.

AdministratorNovember 8, 2023 at 2:55 pmWhat about using a food processor/blender for the turkey? Use it for the vegetables too. Pumpkin pie is always smooth and easy to swallow. I would think that being able to savor the flavors of your holiday foods would help your pALS enjoyment.

MemberNovember 12, 2023 at 10:52 amMy dysphasia has me doing the same. Mashed potatoes with plenty of gravy. It may be food centric but I am with family and friends. I hope you enjoy your holidays, I plan on making them as joyous as possible.
