May Is ALS Awareness Month
Most of us are concerned about COVID-19 with good reason! Unfortunately, because we are living through a pandeic, ALS Awareness Month is likely not going to be as successful as it has been in previous years. Normally there are several ways to participate in ALS Awareness month such as:
- donating money for research and assistive technology for pALS
- educatinong other by sharing your story, or reading and listening to stories about pALS and caregivers
- advocating for people with ALS
- staying connected with ALS News and Researcg
- getting involved with various events to help raise awareness with you local Chapter of the ALS Association
- participating in ‘Walk to Defeat ALS
We can still our share our stories and generate some funds and awareness. You can post your story or information on social media; join in on the forum discussion topics, and join in with a “virtual walk-a-thon”
Raising funds and awareness for ALS continues to be important. Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how we can do this during the pandemic?
