Lately I’ve been reading a lot about proteins and how they may play a major role in the onset of ALS. “Researchers from the University of Tokyo in Japan, and colleagues, discovered a new class of proteins that protect other proteins from forming aggregates, even at extreme heat or stresses, a finding that could point toward new treatments for neurodegenerative diseases.” This is exciting and may help researchers discover treatments for numerous diseases, including ALS.

Have you read this article? How do you think this will impact ALS research? How does it compare to other research you have read about regarding the role of protein in our body?
