      Hello

Does anyone have pointers to trials or reports of trying out Traditional Chinese Medecine (TCM) on ALS ?
So far, one of the most documented paper seems to be DHYZ (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4998825/), and I am after more.
Ideally, I would be glad to be in touch with practitioners / researchers familiar with it.

      Thank you

This is certainly an interesting article. It supports that different cultures have differing approaches to treating illnesses. Western medicine is not the only way. However, it seems that the Chinese are just as stymied by ALS as we are.

Bravo that this woman slowed her ALS progression for 12 years. This too proves that there are many ways to slow progression – – by addressing amino acid toxicity, oxidative stress, calcium cytotoxicity, and neuroinflammation. And good old “mind-body” connection! (maintain good emotional well-being)

You asked if there was anything written about TCM that was more current. Here is an interesting article from a few months ago: https://alsnewstoday.com/2019/07/23/chinese-medicine-hirsutella-sinensis-reduces-neuron-loss-expands-lifespan-als-mice-study/

I personally haven’t used TCM for my ALS, but would be interested in learning if any of our members have used it.

Thank you for this, Dagmar. I will look into the article.
