Hello everyone, I thought this announcement could be of interest to some of you. If not, maybe you could pass it along to someone in your local ALS community who could take advantage of this fund:

The National ALS Association has just announced the establishment of the Jane Calmes ALS Scholarship Fund.

This fund can assist students who have been financially affected by ALS with pursuing education at college, community college or accredited vocational schools. The intent is to fund at least 30 awards of $2,500 per student per semester to applicants whose ability to cover the cost of education has been severely compromised by the family’s financial burden of ALS.

Applications are available now and will be accepted through May 21. More information and the application can be found here:   https://learnmore.scholarsapply.org/calmesscholarshipfund/

Is this information helpful for you or your family? Do you have a family member whose pursuit of higher education has been hindered by the family’s financial burden due to ALS?
