Accessing Radicava
My wonderful mom Suzi has an unexpected lapse in her Rx insurance policy for a couple weeks. Therefore, she’s unfortunately without Radicava in the interim. Might someone have thoughts on how to access even just a single bottle of Radicava? I greatly appreciate your thoughts!

Check out Healthwell Foundation – https://www.healthwellfoundation.org/
They give grants for major diseases. The amount for ALS is $15K in for a pharmacy card. I had approval in an hour. I have Medicare and with the grant, I have not paid a dime for all my drugs including Radicava in 2024

I was told Radicava was off my Aetna Advantage formulary in early December. I called Aetna and Radicala and was told to have Houston Methodist appeal the decision by Aetna. Houston Methodist appealed the decision and Aetna approved the medication. CVS Specialty also applied for a Healthwell Grant which has been conditionally approved to pay for the deductible. All parties were extremely helpful to me.
