In her recent column, I’m Channeling My Grief About ALS into Action and Advocacy caregiver Kristen Neva writes about learning of Medicare’s new Patient Driven Groupings Model and how it reduces the amount of reimbursement home health agencies receive.

If you currently contract with a home health agency for your pALS’s care, or are considering this for the future, Kristen’s column will help you understand what changed.

These changes put Kristen’s husband Todd at risk of losing some of his in-home care. Only when they spoke with someone at the Center for Medicare Advocacy did she fully understand this new policy.

Do you use the services from a home health agency? Have you been affected by this new policy?
