EMG, NCV, MRI just a few things that you will likely experience if your doctor thinks ALS is a possibility! A diagnoses of ALS is usually a long road. Symptoms of ALS mirror many other diseases and it’s difficult to determine what is really happening in the body. Doctors spend a considerable amount of time ruling out other possibilities prior to making a final diagnoses. Many of the test they conduct are specifically looking for symptoms of ALS, and are not a “test” for ALS.
