How to Stay Focused and Pay Attention
We often hear and read about how beneficial being mindful is for ALS patients. But many are confused about exactly “what” mindfulness is, or how to do it. We think we can pay attention, but in reality we’ve tuned out and are living on autopilot.
I remember I could coast a long time on autopilot – – easy-peezy! But soon after being diagnosed with ALS, I learned the hard way that even simple things like walking, drinking and eating … done without paying attention – – weren’t safe anymore!
