  Preparing for an emergency department visit

  When a medical emergency happens, and the patient has ALS, it’s not only important to get to the emergency department (ED) quickly that’s critical. It’s also critical to ensure the ED staff understands what particular considerations an ALS patient needs.  What was your experience at the ED? What recommendations do you have for others to be better prepared – – just in case!
