Recommendations for tilting shower chairs
Posted by MG Community Member on July 28, 2022 at 4:04 pmMy husband’s Shower Buddy is no longer adequate for him, so I am trying to research tilting shower chairs. I was hoping to get some advice or recommendations as they are quite expensive and likely cannot be returned if they don’t work out.
Thank you so much!

AdministratorAugust 3, 2022 at 12:19 pmHi Gail,
I wrote about my experience with a shower chair here: https://alsandwellness.blogspot.com/2020/10/how-i-made-my-shower-safer.html
although mine is not tilting.
Here is a Google link to the types of tilting chairs available.

Hope this helps you.-

MemberAugust 18, 2022 at 2:35 pmThank you for sharing your thoughts and suggestions. We had our bathroom remodeled last year with, most importantly, a zero entry shower. I purchased a “Shower Buddy” chair which has worked well for my husband since November. But now I wish I’d known that he would eventually need a reclining shower chair. I would have purchased such a chair to start with since they seem to be very expensive and non-returnable if the chair doesn’t work out. I don’t know of a place where you could see them in person which would help. Of course Medicare doesn’t cover even a part of the cost. Jim has a Raz which looks great, but comes with a big price tag. Again, thanks for your input.

MemberSeptember 22, 2022 at 2:52 pmDoes anyone have experience with the Etac Swift Mobil Tilt-2 Shower Commode Chair or the Shower Buddy Tilt shower buddy? I’m leaning towards buying the Etac, but these chairs are not returnable and would like to get some feedback from others before purchasing.

MemberSeptember 22, 2022 at 9:35 pmHi all! You may want to check the Team Gleason website for financial assistance to purchase a tilting/rolling shower chair. I don’t have all the info handy right now, but will add another post with more detail. Thanks for your patience.
