What do you do when nothing goes right?
Sometimes, as hard as we ALS patients (and our caregivers too) try, nothing falls into place. Socks are difficult to put on, items roll off the table, Velcro gets stuck on things it shouldn’t be sticking to …you know the drill.
When those things happen to me, I scream internally and keep plugging away. But if things get worse, I stop, breathe slowly and deeply, and let my body relax. Often, it’s solved by me admitting I need to ask for help and not try to do everything by myself.
How do you deal with frustration when nothing goes right?
