I love using music to help me either feel energized or calm me down. My go-to music that I listen to while I write my weekly column (for ALS News Today) is:

“Hey Google, play jazz” is the first thing my speech app says for me every morning. It’s on all day when we’re home and some sort of music surrounds me until bedtime. Every day. It keeps me calm, happy, and energized.

I don’t get out very much anymore but we recently went to a concert offered by the county jazz band. It’s so wonderful to FEEL the sounds as well as hear them and watch the instrumentalists.

    Music keeps me grounded!

Janet, isn’t it wonderful how we can use technology to help us live with our ALS. People who don’t have ALS often take for granted technology like Google jazz music……… for us, it’s vital!
