  • Mental self-care helps during ALS awareness month

    We’re kicking off a multitude of ALS awareness events in May. Even though I look forward to cheering everyone on, I’ve learned to prepare myself by creating a shield of mental resilience. Because for me, raising awareness means seeing lots of messages and emails filled with dire statistics of the worst of ALS –  – and I have ALS! I accept I have ALS, but I won’t accept the expectation of how fast it will affect me. So I have a handy mental shield.
